Dear friends,

Volunteers are needed for the Out of the Cold/Out of the Heat program in Parkdale Deanery. From December to the end of April, teams serve a hot meal every Friday evening at St Stephen's in the Fields on College St; from May to the end of November, we serve sandwiches, soup, fruit, desserts, bottled water etc at St Thomas's, Huron St. We regularly serve 75-100 or more homeless and marginally housed people. We greatly welcome any help that people are able to offer. You can volunteer for as little as one hour, or up to four hours. The meal is always served at 6 pm, and we need help to set up tables and chairs in advance, to serve food to our guests, and to clean up afterwards. No special skills required, just a willingness to work! You can volunteer just once, or as often as you want.
